The step of washing your hair and scalp is an important part of your hair routine. We recommend performing the shampooing step before applying your deep treatments. Indeed, the treatments will deliver their benefits better if the lengths are devoid of residues or oils from other product (s).
Washing helps maintain a healthy scalp and helps prevent product build-up that can create residue along the length of your hair and scalp.
Keeping a clean scalp promotes hair growth. Indeed, without regular shampoo, the sebum secreted by the skin and the oils / butters contained in the products you use can end up clogging the pores of the scalp. This obstruction can hamper the growth of new bulbs which will have difficulty piercing the oily layer deposited on the surface by the various treatments or other products.
In the same vein, if you use a lot of products on your hair using the layering technique and they are not removed regularly, you could see small white residues appear on your scalp or your lengths.
These residues can be due to an incompatibility between two products and / or an overload of your hair fiber by the products of your hair routine.
If you see these residues appear, it is certainly time to use a clarifying shampoo to remove the excess products ...
There are different types of washing products:
- Clarifying shampoos
- Mild shampoos
- Cowash (also called no poo)
Choosing either of these products will vary depending on your hair washing taste. Some people will prefer a very foaming shampoo, others will rather opt for a very gentle but non-foaming cowash, etc.
Whatever product you choose from our store, we have only selected sulfate-free shampoos.
To apply your shampoo, we recommend that you separate your hair into sections.
This preliminary step will allow you to facilitate the washing action of the shampoo on your scalp and optimize the elimination of impurities.
After doing this separation, apply your shampoo to the demarcations.
Massage the scalp well to remove as much residue as possible.
Let the shampoo run down the lengths to remove residue that could catch the lengths of your hair.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove shampoo and remaining impurities.
